We believe that every girl deserves to feel special. That’s why we created Vision of Beauty, where we provide personal styling services to girls with disabilities, facing serious illness, or otherwise in need.
This year, we’ll be working with the girls at Perkins School for the Blind attending the prom. We will shop for complete looks for each of the girls — dresses, wraps, and all kinds of fun accessories — and provide each with their own, personalized styling session to find the best look for their big night.
This will be our second year involved with the Perkins prom. Last year, when we arrived at the school with garment racks in tow, a sense of excitement stirred among the girls. They expressed their happiness and gratitude in so many different ways — with volumes of “thanks,” big smiles, or by refusing to take their dress off long after their choice has been made.
We can all think back to our own prom and remember how it felt to put on that special dress and jewels. The girls at Perkins are no different. Many of them may never know the color of their dress or how they look in it, but what truly matters is that they feel beautiful, something every girl wants on her special night.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Vision of Beauty is able to provide complete looks and all styling services at no cost to the girls.
